RAMQ coverage (Québec)


The RAMQ (Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec) offers a reimbursement of $300 for the purchase of glasses or contact lenses for children under 18 years old.


IMPORTANT: You must first pay the order in full before requesting the reimbursement to the RAMQ.


1. Required Information:

- Child's health insurance or social insurance number

- Child's postal code

- Date and cost of purchase

- QST number: 1225685866-TQ0001


2. Conditions:

- Eligible purchase every 2 years (from the date of purchase that led to the last reimbursement).

- Only purchases made in Quebec are eligible (exclusions: bonlook.com and purchases outside of Quebec).


3. Amount and Reimbursement:

- Fixed amount of $300, regardless of the cost of the purchase.

- The check will be mailed within 3 weeks following the request.


4. What is not covered:

- Glasses or contact lenses purchased outside of Quebec

- Used glasses or contact lenses

- Glasses or contact lenses without a prescription

- Glasses without correction (e.g., sunglasses)

- Reading glasses or magnifying glasses purchased without a prescription (pharmacy style glasses, stores, or convenience stores)

- Glasses designed for sports or recreational activities (e.g., swimming, skiing)

- Glasses that protect against blue light from digital devices, with no prescription in them.
